Annual Deregulation Report

The Annual Deregulation Report details the Employment portfolio’s contribution to the Government’s deregulation agenda over the period September 2013 – December 2014.

Between September 2013 and December 2014, the Employment portfolio contributed $151.1 million in regulatory savings to the annual $1 billion target set by the Australian Government.

The Department’s Deregulation Unit has coordinated the portfolio’s contribution to the deregulation agenda and has provided this report to give an overview of the portfolio’s activities and outcomes.

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet has produced a whole-of-government report that describes the overall deregulation framework and provides summary tables of the achievements of each portfolio. The report was tabled in Parliament on 18 March 2015, as a part of the 2015 Autumn Repeal Day proceedings and can be found on the Cutting Red Tape website.
