The ACSF can be used to identify and describe an individual's performance in the core skills of learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy, so that training can be targeted to areas of need and an individual's progress monitored over time.
To make the ACSF more accessible, the framework is now available in an ePub format suitable for iPad and Android devices. To use the ePub version of the framework, you may need to download a suitable ePub reader to your device.
The ePub download is available at the following link: Australian Core Skills Framework ePub
The ACSF is also available for download to your PC or laptop as both Word and printable PDF versions at the following link: Australian Core Skills Framework
When printing, please note that this file is approximately 200 pages in length.
Hard copies of the framework are no longer available.
Framework Pre Level 1 Supplement 2017
The Pre Level 1 supplement to the framework describes performance in the five core skills of learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy.
The ACSF Pre Level 1 has been updated to improve understanding of the development and progress of students at very low levels of Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN). Separation of the ACSF Pre level 1 into Stage A and B is required to provide a clear progression within the framework to Level 1.
The updated Pre Level 1 is available for download at the following link: Australian Core Skills Framework Pre Level 1 Supplement
