I want to know my workplace rights and entitlements

When starting or undertaking employment it’s important to understand what your workplace rights and entitlements are, and how to check what you are receiving from your employer. Employee workplace rights and entitlements include but are not limed to, minimum hourly pay rates, sick leave and holiday pay, as well as protections for work, health and safety in the workplace.

  • I want to know my rights and entitlements in the workplace

There are rules about what employees are entitled to at work, such as minimum hourly rates, what hours you work, sick leave and holiday pay, as well as protections for workplace health and safety. It’s important to be aware of your entitlements and how to check what you are receiving is right.

If you’re not sure about what your workplace entitlements are, the Fair Work Ombudsman and Safe Work Australia can help.
