Mature Age Employment

The Government is supporting Australians to remain in the workforce, have flexibility in their later working years and retire with security.

Support is also available for employers to help hire or re-train mature age workers to benefit from their skills and experience.

The resources below will support older workers to get back into work, offer advice and examples on how to demonstrate their skills and experience to match job requirements, and provide advice on starting a business.

Resources are available to help employers create more mature age friendly workplaces and practices. Studies show that productivity, competitiveness and client satisfaction improves in business that employ older Australians.
