Members were given a demonstration of the Job Seeker Snapshot which is used to help identify what level of support a job seeker may need to help find work. Members were also provided an overview of the Digital Literacy Assessment used to establish a job seeker’s digital literacy and understand their ability to use online services. Members also discussed the evaluation undertaken looking at the effectiveness and understanding of the questions used.
An update was provided on the Trial Region working groups noting they had been paused due to COVID, but further work is being undertaken to assess how the working groups could be utilised to assist with the economic recovery in the two regions.
Members were advised that the first webinar on a new licensing system for the model was scheduled in coming weeks. It was noted that this webinar is the first of series of consultations on the licensing system.
Members were given a demonstration on the Virtual Jobs Fair held in the Mid North Coast region in May. It was noted how successful the fair was in this format for job seekers, employers, employment service providers and community/training organisations, especially given the current circumstances.
