Consultation on draft methodology for review of Skilled Migration Occupation Lists

The Department of Employment is commencing public consultation on its draft methdology for reviewing the skilled migration occupation lists.

The Department of Employment is responsible for undertaking a six monthly review of the new Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) and Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) to identify occupations that would benefit from skilled migration for the purpose of meeting both the short and medium to long-term skill needs of the Australian economy.

Members of the public are invited to review the draft methodology and provide feedback on the proposed approach for reviewing the STSOL and MLTSSL.
