Prime Minister Tony Abbot and Assistant Minister for Employment Luke Hartsuyker attended a media launch on Friday 11 July, at the Novotel, Brighton Beach in Sydney to officially launch the Restart programme.

Restart provides a $10,000 incentive to employers to hire and retain mature age job seekers aged 50 and over who have been in receipt of income support for six months or more.

A national advertising campaign for Restart and mature age employment started this week to raise awareness of the benefits of employing mature age workers and the Restart programme. The campaign will include print, radio and online advertising. The first phase of the campaign runs from now until the end of October 2014.

See www.experiencepays.gov.au for more campaign information.
