The Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business has released results from its workforce analysis research program, incorporating research undertaken in the financial year 2018-19.

The Department conducts ongoing research to analyse targeted occupations and identify shortages in the Australian labour market, by conducting around 4000 discussions with employers and recruitment agents to understand their experiences recruiting for skilled workers.

A range of documents have been updated with results from the first half of 2019, including the research program’s ratings summary and reports on occupations and occupational clusters. These documents are available on the Skill Shortages page.
