Online JSCI Trial

For:

From 1 July 2018, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (formerly the Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business) is implementing a trial for job seekers to complete their Job Seeker Classification Instrument (JSCI) online.

During the trial, Services Australia (formally the Department of Human Services) will randomly select job seekers that are applying for income support through myGov to complete their JSCI using the ‘Job Seeker Snapshot’ on the jobactive website. Job seekers need to have a jobactive account to access the Job Seeker Snapshot.

Participation in the trial is voluntary. Services Australia will continue to contact the job seeker for their participation interview and update the JSCI if the Job Seeker Snapshot is incomplete or needs updating.

Information collected when completing the JSCI is protected by law under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
