Terms of Use for Online Forums

Contributors must familiarise themselves with these Terms of Use before using the department's online forum.

To ensure your contributions can be included in a department online forum you must agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

The moderation process

When you submit a contribution it will be checked for inappropriate language then, if approved, posted to an online forum.

Your contribution may be removed after it is published if information comes to hand which raises doubts about whether you have complied with the Terms of Use.

Other users of an online forum may report your contribution to the department for checking.

If your contribution breaches these Terms of Use, the department will send an email to your supplied email address, informing you of the breach.

What happens to my contribution?

All contributions submitted to an online forum will be analysed and used to inform policy advice.

About your contributions

The content of contributions to a department online forum are, and will be, treated by the Australian Government as non-confidential public information, and will be stored in a database.

The department makes no representation or warranty that it will respond to questions or comments contained in contributions to an online forum.
